About Gaby's Pizza

Gaby’s Pizza, located in the Fran Hill Mall on Hillside Avenue and Francis Lewis Boulevard, is family owned and operated since 1964 by Guerrino LoGiudice, Orlando Correale, Andre LoGiudice and Gerome Seidita.

Brothers Guerrino and John LoGiudice founded Gaby’s in 1964 after migrating from Rome, Italy four storefronts away from its current location. It was a smaller space with booths, a few tables and a jukebox that played songs for 10 cents. The pizza shop was small and virtually invisible until neighborhood people got hooked on the homemade dishes and began flooding the parlor with family and friends. Gaby’s Pizza is family owned and operated and still uses its original ingredients from the cheese to the sauce. The cheese is aged in the shop’s refrigerators and the dough is stretched out in olive oil and is topped with a sauce made from imported tomatoes from Italy before being baked upon a specially made screen.

 

 

Consistently ranked among Top 10 Pizzerias in New York on websites, search engines and city radio station contests. In 2007, Gaby’s was picked by the Rachael Ray show to compete against Chicago for best pizza– and they won. In 2015, Gaby’s Pizza was invited to Good Day New York on Fox 5 to deliver pizza to veterans on Memorial Day. In 2017 Gaby’s was ranked by ABC News as one of the top three pizzerias in the Tri-State area.  Also in 2017 Governor Andrew Cuomo mentioned Gaby’s Pizza as the best pizza ever in his State of the State speech.

The pizzeria is also a long standing benefactor for the Jamaica, St. Albans and Hollis communities. They sponsor fundraisers, athletic little leagues and even local models looking for a place to advertise their headshot. Every Christmas, Santa Claus visits the pizzeria to take photos with children and donations are collected to buy toys and host a Christmas Party for the Ronald McDonald House.
